Bandhu pilot privacy

Bandhu is BharatCode’s automated AI buddy on WhatsApp. It helps invited adults with questions and documents. It is not a human operator, and its answers can be wrong. Teachers must check papers and answer keys before using them.

What is processed

Your WhatsApp number identifies your private workspace. After you accept the first-use notice by replying START, your messages, uploaded text/PDF/Word documents and relevant conversation history may be processed by BharatCode’s model service to prepare replies and files. WhatsApp/Meta handles message and document delivery. Document conversion runs in an isolated, offline sandbox.

Only invited numbers are processed. The pilot does not transcribe audio, browse the web, send scheduled reminders or let the model contact other people. Do not send children’s personal records, passwords, payment details, identity documents or other sensitive information.

Storage and access

Bandhu stores conversation content and files in its private workspace for up to seven days per record. Minimal delivery and duplicate-prevention identifiers may remain for up to 30 days. Invitation and consent records are kept while needed to operate the pilot. Authorized BharatCode operators can access pilot data for support, reliability and safety; it is not shared with other pilot users.

These periods describe Bandhu’s active storage, not the retention of copies on your device, WhatsApp/Meta or the inference service. The inference service is also covered by BharatCode’s privacy policy. No off-VM Bandhu backup is currently configured.

Delete your Bandhu data

Send forget my data or mera data bhool jao to Bandhu. This clears your Bandhu conversation history and files and resets your consent. Minimal replay-prevention records remain to prevent old webhook events from recreating deleted content. It does not delete copies already delivered in WhatsApp.

To leave the pilot, remove your invitation, ask about your data or request help with deletion, email shrey@bharatcode.ai from an address you can verify and identify the WhatsApp number you used. Do not email passwords or identity documents.
